Why I Built Flagium: Because Risk Doesn’t Announce Itself
A few years ago, I was doing what most retail investors do.
Reading results. Tracking ratios. Trying to “understand” companies.
On paper, everything looked fine.
But then I’d see stocks fall 40–50%… and only after the fall, the reasons would start coming out.
Weak cash flows. Debt issues. Aggressive accounting.
And I kept thinking:
Was this really invisible before? Or was I just not looking at the right things?
The Realization
The data was always there.
Buried inside financial statements.
But the signals weren’t obvious unless you knew exactly where to look.
Institutional investors have teams for this. They go deep into filings, track patterns, question numbers.
Most of us don’t.
Not because we can’t—but because it’s not practical to do that for every company.
That gap stayed with me.
What I Wanted to Build
I didn’t want another stock screener.
There are already too many of those.
I wanted something that answers a much simpler question:
“Is there something risky here that I’m missing?”
Not price targets. Not predictions.
Just… risk.
What Flagium Actually Does
Flagium looks at financial statements differently.
It focuses on things that usually get ignored:
- Is profit backed by real cash?
- Is working capital quietly stretching?
- Is debt building faster than it appears?
Individually, these don’t always look alarming.
But together, they tell a story.
Flagium converts that into a single Risk Score— so you don’t have to manually connect all the dots every time.

What It Is (and What It Isn’t)
Flagium won’t tell you what stock to buy.
It won’t predict the next multibagger.
It simply helps you see things that are easy to miss— especially when everything looks fine on the surface.
Why This Matters to Me
Most investing mistakes don’t come from lack of effort.
They come from false comfort.
When numbers look good, we stop questioning.
That’s exactly when risk tends to build.
I built Flagium to reduce that blind spot— at least a little.
